This e-book called „Planet defenders“ is designed and constructed within TOGETHER project, a European project with a goal of raising awareness on importance of evironment protection and rational energy management.
While researching energy points throughout the city map, you are introduced with all the topics important for protecting our planet Earth from negative impacts of climate changes. Even though each one of us as individuals is small on this planet, together we can make a difference. There is a song by a Croatian poet Dobrisa Cesaric that vividly pictures this point:
„A waterfall flows, and flows, and flows; / What does my little drop mean to it?
Look, a rainbow appears in the water, / And it shines, and trembles in thousand colours.
My little drop helps to create / That dream in the waterfall and makes it shine.“
So be engaged, study and learn, and then teach this knowledge to your friends because your contribution in changing attitudes and bad habits concerning environment and energy saving in school, home, city and beyond is very important.
Project TOGETHER is conducted as a part of Interreg Central Europe in seven European countries: Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Project partners provide necessities for improving energy management in schools, kindergartens and other public buildings using their knowledge and experience in developing different project activities.
Integral part of project implementation is each building tenant, children and grown-ups, because their behaviour directly affects energy and water consumption during their stay in the building.
We always need to ask ourselves: „Am I spending just the needed amount of energy or am I spending it carelessly because I think there is an abundance of resources?“. „Planet defenders“ know the right answer very well.
